Potential interventions for SARS‐CoV‐2 infections: Zinc showing promise
Highlights Zinc (Zn) inhibits SARS‐CoV‐2 in vitro by several different mechanism. Zn deficiency may increase the risk for severity of COVID‐19 infection. The addition of Zn, particularly with a Zn ionophore, shows substantial promise as a treatment regimen.
