Zusammenfassung: | The present search for unknown bipolar nebulae covers nearly the total Milky Way north of delta = -30 deg. The 20 probably bipolar nebulae found are presented together with UBVRI and IR photometry. Most of the central stars identified in these nebulae are of early spectral type, with a visual extinction that reaches values of up to 25 mag. The most obvious bipolar nebula, designated No. 14, consists of two luminous lobes that are separated by a dark lane at whose narrowest point a radio and IR source is found. A CCD image at 1.0 microns reveals a double star to be the exciting source near this position. |
