Zusammenfassung: | Co--Mn amorphous alloy is a good alloy for investigating the nature of spin glasses, because Mn atoms prefer to adopt an antiferromagnetic ordering and compete with the ferromagnetic Co ions, and this competition leads to a spin-glass phase transition at low temp. In the present experiment, (Co sub 1--x Mn sub x ) sub 76 B sub 24 (0 < x < = 0.5) samples were produced by a melt spin technique from mother alloys, and the ribbons thus obtained were confirmed to be in the amorphous state by the Debye--Scherrer X-ray method. 11 ref.--AA |
