Clinical networking in revision knee replacement

1 Introduction Revision knee replacement surgery is complex and requires input from specialist in many fields, including orthopaedics, microbiology, pharmacy, rehabilitation, anaesthesia and intensive care [1].2 Clinical networks Clinical networks are already established in major trauma and orthopaedic oncology services. To provide revision knee surgery to a high standard within regions, clinical networks are required, where low volume surgeons or units are able to ask for advice from or refer patients to regional specialist centres.
