Cell for orthobaric surface tension measurements at low temperatures

An experimental technique to determine orthobaric surface tensions of both pure and mixed liquefied gases by the differential capillary rise method at cryogenic temperatures is described. The apparatus has been tested with measurements performed on the ethane+ethane system, from 117 to 135 K.
