Zusammenfassung:	There is a problem of removing the retained melt after film growth of epitaxial films in the liquid phase epitaxial (LPE) growth. In what follows the melt spin off procedure is compared to slow vertical withdrawal and its is found that the results can be comparable. Also these results are particularized to the case of the LPE growth of Hg sub(0.8)Cd sub(0.2)Te.
