Zusammenfassung: | The initial challenge presented to a practitioner during ultrasound‐guided regional anaesthesia is the interpretation of sono‐anatomy upon placing a probe on the patient. To date, technological advancements have focused on methods to enhance needle viewing [1]. Sono‐anatomical interpretation remains an under‐explored avenue of research to improve the availability, efficacy and safety of regional anaesthetic techniques. We present the case for the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in identifying key anatomical features to facilitate ultrasound‐guided regional anaesthesia. |
