Zusammenfassung:The evolution of structural states of two titanium alloys of different phase compositions strained at temperatures between 4.2 and 300 K is studied by the transmission electron microscopy technique (TEM). The defect structure formed under low temperature deformation and the stress- strain curve parameters are found to be correlated both qualitatively and quantitatively. The nature of low temperature strength and plasticity of the alloys and the effect of phase composition on these parameters are considered. (Author)
