Reticulated single-crystal luminescent screen
Study focused on Ce sup 3 sup + -activated YAG grown on YAG(111) substrates, where masking and etching of the epitaxial film, coated with SiO sub 2 , formed mesas. Mesa geometry reduces internal reflection leading to cathodoluminescence improvement proportional to mesa step height.
