Zusammenfassung: | It has been found that during pseudoelastic deformation of the CuAlFe single crystals, new phases are formed with a stacking order differing from the low temperature martensite, and are stable at given temperature--stress conditions. A recent X-ray study of the phase transitions in Cu--14.5Al--12.2Fe single crystals during pseudoelastic deformation has shown that, depending on the deformation axis and stress, the following martensitic phases can be formed: alpha exp ' sub 1 (1R), beta exp ' sub 1 (3R), beta exp " sub 1 (6R) and gamma exp ' sub 1 (2H). A HVEM in-situ straining experiment was performed to study the formation of martensite in relation to strain and the crystallographic relationship of parent and martensite phases. 8 ref.--W.J.G. |
