Post-partum Primary Biliary Cholangitis Preceded by Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy in Three First Nation Patients

Primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) is well recognized in the First Nations (Indigenous) population of British Columbia (BC), Canada [1]. It is unknown whether prior intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) predisposes to development of PBC in this population. Such an association in this community has never been reported. We present 3 patients of First Nations descent who developed PBC after post-partum resolution of ICP.
