Feedback in the climate: accuracy of first-order estimates

Zusammenfassung: | In a recent paper, Cacuci and Hall (1984) described an efficient method for estimating the effect of feedback in mathematical models, and applied the method to a simple climate model. Feedback occurs in a climate model when physical quantities that influence the climate (e.g., albedos, humidity, cloud cover, ocean currents, sea ice) are themselves influenced by climate. This article applies the method to feedback effects in a radiative convective model, with good results. |
