Zusammenfassung:Study of the influence of formamide drying control chemical additive DCCA on the hydrolysis and early condensation of tetramethoxysilane by sup 2 sup 9 Si NMR showed that it decreases the hydrolysis rate by 6 times but increases the polymerization rate slightly. The rate constants for both hydrolysis and condensation reactions depend on the concentration of formamide and solution pH.
