Cooling condition dependence of ion milling rate in Fe—10 at % Si—15 at % B alloy glass

Results indicate that the slower the cooling rate, the higher the ion milling rate (R sub s ) for the glassy state becomes. The cooling condition dependence of R sub s is explained by the stiffness of the glass correlated with the energy absorbed (E sub c ) on collision. 12 ref.--J.M.S.
