Zusammenfassung: | Laser‐induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) is recognized as a versatile technique for material analysis; especially in applications in which speed of analysis, sensitivity, and need for minimal or no sample preparation are key issues. These features make LIBS attractive for inline process monitoring, e.g. for material screening and sorting as well as for quality control purposes. However, the transfer of LIBS technology from the lab into high‐speed industrial environments entails technical and analytical challenges which we address in this article. |
