Zusammenfassung: | •Off-road motorcycle sports are increasingly popular, however paediatric injuries frequently occur and are associated with significant morbidity.•Concerns regarding the safety of this sport are highlighted by the death of four children (2010-2017) and the number of children sustaining major trauma.•While paediatric off-road motorcycle trauma presentations to hospital are less in number compared to other sports, the injury risk and severity is higher.•Riders and parents need to be aware of these risks, and organised events need to have adequate on-site first aid facilities.
