Zusammenfassung: | The results of experiments with four different ducts of circular cross-section with conducting walls are analyzed. The flow in a straight highly conducting wall duct situated in a nonuniform field is considered along with the flow in a straight thin-walled duct also situated in a nonuniform field. The two other ducts have weakly conducting walls and contain either one or two 90-deg bends and are located in a uniform field. It is shown that as the conductivity of the duct wall increases the effects associated with the nonuniform field are suppressed. |
