Hydraulic cements from spent oil shale

A process is described for making an inexpensive hydraulic cement from a 1:1 mixture of spent oil shale (following the Lurgi process) and CaCO sub 3. The energy and CaCO sub 3 requirements are less than for concentrated portland cement.
