Cross-sensor processing for a U-shaped array

This paper examines cross-sensor processing for a U-shaped array and for a horizontal line array. Attention is given to accounting for crossterms in the cross-sensor field (cross-spectral matrix) caused by doublet (i.e., two multi-paths) arrivals from the same source. For the arrays considered, the line array did not have sufficient aperture to resolve the doublets. Thus, its response to a doublet was the response to the single wave whose amplitude is the coherent sum of the multi-path arrivals. The U-shaped array did have sufficient vertical aperture to resolve the doublets.
