Zusammenfassung:The growth and decay of surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) from cyanide complexes adsorbed on a Cu electrode have been measured with an optical multichannel analyzer during an electrochemical oxidation-reduction cycle. The Raman data are correlated with the chemical reactions indicated by cyclic voltammetry. Discrete vibrational SERS peaks of the adsorbed Cu-cyanide complexes were observed for wavelengths longer than 575 nm, while voltage dependent continuum inelastic scattering was detected for wavelengths as short as 457.9 nm.
