Zusammenfassung: | In this study, the application of an ultrasonic technique to detect and visualize contact areas in bolted joints is described. The method is based on the analysis of the reflection of highfrequency ultrasonic waves from the contact interface, which is known to be related to contact conditions. Tests were carried out on bolted joints characterized by different values of applied torque, and the ultrasonic results were compared with those obtained using Fuji Prescale pressure-sensitive film. |
