New activity in the Dorado gamma-ray burst source

The detection of two cosmic gamma-ray burst events (on December 1, 1981 and January 2, 1982) by the Cone detectors aboard the Venera 13 and 14 probes is reported. Zusammenfassung:The detection of two cosmic gamma-ray burst events (on December 1, 1981 and January 2, 1982) by the Cone detectors aboard the Venera 13 and 14 probes is reported. It is determined that these two gamma-ray bursts constitute events generated by the same source as the recurrent bursts recorded on March 5 and 6, 1979 and April 4 and 24, 1979. The time profiles and the energy spectra of the two bursts are presented. These results argue against the hypothesis that this source is the supernova remnant N49 in the Large Magellanic Cloud.
