Zusammenfassung: | A combination of various low-energy electron spectroscopic methods is known to be the most fruitful approach in studies of metal surfaces. Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) aand soft X-ray appearance potential (APS) in the same energy range of primary electrons are good examples of matching techniques in application to metal alloys. In this case AES information of the surface composition aand APS on the electronic in particular, on binding energy and vacant states above the Fermi level, these data referring to the same depth of penetration. These two methods were applied to Fe--Cr alloys in a wide concentrataion range with the aim of obtaining data on the binding energy shifts and on the effect of oxidation on the surface composition and electronic structure of alloys.8 refs.--AA |
