Synthesis and characterisation of titanium/aluminium nanolaminates
A novel technique has been developed using vapour quenching onto a heated substrate to produce millimetre thick laminates with nanometre thick periods. Transmission electron microscopy techniques have been utilised to characterise these structures in the as-deposited condition.
