Zusammenfassung: | Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) has been used to study, in situ, the adsorption of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) on copper. The data obtained allow the determination of CTAB's adsorption rate from aqueous solution and are consistent with physisorption or weak chemisorption via the quaternary ammonium group. The use of “surface selection rules” to derive orientation information is examined. |
