Resistance of the Amorphous Magnetic Alloy Fe sub 29 Ni sub 49 P sub 14 B sub 6 Si sub 2 as a Function of Temperature and Stress
The stress and temp. dependence of the electrical resistivity of amorphous alloy ribbon Fe sub 29 Ni sub 49 P sub 14 B sub 6 Si sub 2 in the range 77-440K is reported. Tensile stress was applied along the long ribbon axis. Results obtained on the temp. dependence of Delta R/R sub 300 show that at lo...

Zusammenfassung: | The stress and temp. dependence of the electrical resistivity of amorphous alloy ribbon Fe sub 29 Ni sub 49 P sub 14 B sub 6 Si sub 2 in the range 77-440K is reported. Tensile stress was applied along the long ribbon axis. Results obtained on the temp. dependence of Delta R/R sub 300 show that at low temp. ( < 320K) the tensile stress has an effect of increasing the slope while at high temp. it seems to be reversed, indicating the initiation of enhanced, structural relaxation process. Curie temp. is found to increase with application of the tensile stress. Ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) and scanning electron microscope observations show that the applied tensile stress induces crystallization into the specimen which is reflected through broad FMR peaks. Crystallites seem to be elongated parallel to the direction of the applied stress. 17 ref.--AA |
