Zusammenfassung: | In this paper various theories on radiative properties are reviewed and some new theoretical results for platinum and tungsten are presented. A comparison with the most recent theoretical and experimental results shows that by using the optical constants of the transition metals their thermal emittance can be derived. However, the incorporation of interband and intraband transitions may prove to be significant to account for a slight difference between this theory and experiment at high temperatures. |
