Zusammenfassung: | Ruthenium(II)-catalyzed C(sp2)–H functionalization of N-aryl phthalazinones with a range of aldehydes and activated ketone is described. The utility of this method is highlighted by synthetic transformations into a series of potentially bioactive scaffolds. |
