Zusammenfassung:A universal calibration for the determination of protein in wheat by near infrared (n.i.r.) reflectance analysis using an InfraAlyzer 300B is presented. The results of testing this calibration over a period of three years show that no adjustments to the calibration were necessary even when wheats from a new harvest were examined. The overall accuracy of the calibration expressed as the standard deviation of differences between n.i.r. and Kjeldahl data for 132 samples was 0.28% protein.
