Zusammenfassung: | The discovery of a new flare star located about six arcmin south of Sirius is reported. The observations and data analysis are described, listing the characteristics of the main flare, the details of small flares, and the dates, duration per band, and time resolution of the observations. The star appears to belong to a spectral class between K5 and M0. The flare appears to represent an energy output of about 10 to the 35th ergs. The object appears to have a slow variational component with a maximum amplitude of 0.6 mag. The observed pulsation may be due to rotation of a collapsed object of accretion disk with partial obscuration during the rotation. |
