Application of the GRACE, TIMI, and TARRACO Risk Scores in Type 2 Myocardial Infarction

The Global Registry of Acute Coronary Events (GRACE) and Thrombolysis In Myocardial Infarction (TIMI) risk scores are validated to predict risk of adverse outcomes among patients with type 1 myocardial infarction (MI). Zusammenfassung:The Global Registry of Acute Coronary Events (GRACE) and Thrombolysis In Myocardial Infarction (TIMI) risk scores are validated to predict risk of adverse outcomes among patients with type 1 myocardial infarction (MI). Because we screened for T2MI patients using an International Classification of Diseases-Tenth Revision code, rather than all patients with a rise and/or fall in troponin, we may not have captured all patients with T2MI. [...]the GRACE, TIMI, and TARRACO risk scores display poor to modest discrimination in identifying mortality and MACE in T2MI.
