Comments by De Gee complimented on Feller's work on metallic glass, calculated specific wear rate, k', of 0.33 x 10 exp --6 mm exp 3 /N/m from Feller's data, and asked about the test conditions. Feller's response provided the test conditions of his work. De Gee also suggested that the wear data of metallic glasses should be compared with other hard materials such as sprayed layers of Co-, Ni-, or Fe-bonded tungsten carbides which have similar k' values.
