Zusammenfassung:Since its approval by the United States Food and Drug Administration in 2011, transcatheter aortic valve replacement has revolutionized the treatment of aortic valvular disease with a rapid increase in use. Potentially fatal aortic complications are rare, occurring in 0.2% to 1.1% of cases—all reported in the early perioperative period. We present a case of a late ascending aortic pseudoaneurysm with rupture secondary to erosion by an embolized transcatheter aortic valve occurring 6 years after implantation. The patient was successfully treated with a commercially available, off-the-shelf aortic endograft.
