Zusammenfassung:To the Editor: In the Multicenter Study of MagLev Technology in Patients Undergoing Mechanical Circulatory Support Therapy with HeartMate 3 (MOMENTUM 3) (April 25 issue), 1 the HeartMate 3 centrifugal-flow left ventricular assist device outperformed the HeartMate II axial-flow device with regard to a composite primary end point of survival at 2 years free of disabling stroke or reoperation for pump malfunction.
