Zusammenfassung:Cerebral air embolism is potentially a catastrophic event that occurs as a consequence of air entry into the vasculature. We report a mechanically ventilated 72-year-old woman who underwent multiple procedures during intensive care stay with few possible sources of emboli postulated. We also discuss regarding the preventive measures to minimise the risk of air embolism.
