Zusammenfassung: | [...] in a one-page memo or a few minutes at a faculty meeting, share such information as the number of students and classes taught in a typical week; the specific skills (aligned with state and national learning standards) you teach that are not taught elsewhere; and the number of collaborations with teachers that occur and what they are. * Find out what is really considered important in your district and school and show how you support it. Write an OP-ED piece for your local newspaper; call the local television station and ask them to cover the budget cutbacks; and ask stakeholders (teachers, students, parents) to write letters to the newspaper. * Call your local association and ask what they can do to support you in the effort to stop the cutbacks. * Start a letter writing campaign to the school board. |
