Zusammenfassung: | The conditions in which two Langmuir solitons will fuse are discussed. Equations describing the dynamics of soliton formation and interaction are derived, and the region where two identical solitons will adhere and the energy necessary for soliton fusion are calculated. The influence of boundary conditions on soliton interactions with strong Langmuir turbulence is discussed. It is shown that such interactions pass through two stages: a rapid one associated with aperiodic instability and a slow one where excess energy is emitted as acoustic waves, which corresponds with an ordinary decay instability. |
