Zusammenfassung: | Anelasticity within a wide range of occurence of the martensitic phase was investigated by macrodeformation, aftereffect, and internal friction methods in TiNi and CuZnSi. On thermoelastic martensitic transformation the deformation effects are not limited to the widely known “shape‐memory” properties and superelasticity in their classical form. The effects of reversible shape change both under the application of external stress and after prior plastic deformation were studied. The interphases and domain interfaces can produce anelastic effects differing both by their exterior indications and in essence. The anelasticity effects were analysed from the thermodynamical stand point of phase transformation theory. The practical significance of the results gained is shown.
