Zusammenfassung: | The ratio between the mean density of a specific pollutant under propagation conditions involving chemical transformation and the mean density of the same pollutant in the absence of such transformation processes is considered. Such ratios can be determined on the basis of statistical and thermodynamic considerations as thermodynamic functions of the mean temperature and the mean density. The effectiveness of approaches for alleviating environmental pollution by combustion of the pollutant is illustrated with the aid of two examples. |
