Zusammenfassung: | Barrett Wissman, a businessman who in April pleaded guilty to securities fraud in an investigation into corruption at the New York State pension fund, has stepped down as chairman of IMG Artists, one of the largest firms representing classical musicians, and has been replaced by Charles Hamlen. Mr. Wissman bought a controlling interest in IMG in 2003. The company, while declining to comment on his ownership, said on Tuesday that his interest remained unchanged. Mr. Hamlen co-founded IMG’s predecessor agency in 1979. Mr. Hamlen left IMG in 1992 to establish and run Classical Action, which raises money for AIDS services. He said Mr. Wissman had called him out of the blue and suggested he take the job. |
