How Can We Make Our Cities Sustainable?

Climate change is caused by the fossil fuels we burn when using electricity and driving cars, because these activities create greenhouse gas emissions. Most homes can easily reduce the amount of greenhouse gases they produce by 50% with better insulation, more efficient appliances and a solar hot water system. If we were to replace every electric hot water system with a gas-boosted solar system we would reduce household greenhouse emissions by about 30% - and we'd have lower energy bills too.
