n-plate systems. Detailed analysis has been worked out for an elastically connected double plate system. Frequency equations are developed for some of the interesting combinations of the edge conditions. It is shown that simple characteristic equations can be obtained for systems with identical plates with similar edge conditions. Numerical results are obtained for some of the representative cases which would illustrate the various important aspects of free vibrations of elastically connected plate systems. |
