Zusammenfassung: | A Method for the production of one dimensional laminar flame propagation, using the time-dependent equations, has been reported. A very simple flame, that of hydrazine decomposition, was chosen to {fx231-01} the method. In the present work the production procedure has been used for a flame which is characterised by one of the largest reaction mechanisms for which adequate chemical kinetic data exists, {fx231-02} the hydrogen-oxygen reaction. As well documented experimental studies of this flame are {fx231-03}, a critical comparision of predicted and measured flame characteristics can be used to esblish some details of the reaction more accrately than hitherto. The results of two investigations are presented. The first concerns the effect on the prediction of flame speed of excluding some of the possible reactions from a very full reaction scheme (tweaty reaction); the second result is in the form of a recommendation for reaction rates of certain of the reactions, concerning which there is uncertainty in the existing data. |
