Zusammenfassung:Description and first report of powdery mildew caused by Podosphaera epilobii on E. ciliatum in North America are presented in this brief. The weed is commonly found in California's Salinas Valley (Monterey Co.). Confirmation of the powdery mildew disease indicates that this weed will not be a source of the powdery mildew diseases that affect nearby vegetable and ornamental crops.
