Something’s lost, but something’s gained: On‐site evaluation, telecytology, and the cytopathologist

The use of telecytology for rapid on‐site evaluation (ROSE) can have benefits, but may create losses as well. While acknowledging the potential benefits, this commentary outlines some of those losses and highlights gains that can be achieved when cytopathologists go into the field for ROSE.
