Facial surgery for cosmetic purposes: Practice guidelines

Facial surgery for cosmetic purposes aims to improve the physical appearance and self-image of normal individuals. Drafting of guidelines with indications on levels of evidence. 24 guidelines with levels of evidence B (scientific presumption), C (low level of evidence) or EO (expert opinion) were selected to answer the questions. Cosmetic facial surgery must be performed by certified, qualified professionals in authorized structures.
