Endangered birds found on Maui

Many birds have become endangered on the Hawaiian islands because of habitat loss and the introduction of predators, disease and competitors. Some of the endangered birds found in the rainforests of Maui Hawaii are the po'ouli, Maui akepa, Maui nukupu'u, and Bishop's o'o.
