Discrete-time S-I-S models with complex dynamics
A discrete-time susceptible-infected-susceptible (S-I-S) epidemic model was studied. It included populations with potentially complex chaotic dynamics. The role of reproductive and recruitment regimes including contest and scramble competition on disease dynamics was analyzed.
