Zusammenfassung: | A study was initiated to determine the safety and efficacy of LASIK in eyes where postoperative topical steroids were used compared to eyes where steroids were not used. A prospective randomized multicenter clinical trial was performed involving patients with myopia and astigmatism. The results and complication rates were not found to be different in patients using postoperative topical steroids compared to those who did not. LASIK was determined to be safe regardless of postoperative steroid use. |
