Zusammenfassung:Wessely immune ring is the formation of a ring-shaped infiltrate in the corneal stroma that arises from a type 3 immune response involving antigen-antibody complex formation. The differential diagnosis of this condition is often difficult but is extremely critical. This article reviews the differential diagnosis and highlights a dramatic case having a sterile, CL-related etiology. It also details the indications for culturing and staining and portrays the methods and tests involved.
